Dana Deschene moved from her home town of Castlegar, British Columbia to attend Simon Fraser University where she studied the art of communications. Upon completion of her degree she attained a posion at a Communications firm in Vancouver. After a year Dana felt her creative side becoming malnourished and enrolled in the Digital Design program at the intensive Vancouver Film School. With typography as a muse, Dana's true talent shone through communication design. The combination of conceptual development and visual design incapsulated within branding and identity creation was the right combination of to satisfy her creative wit and meticulous design sense. She strives to create pieces that are highly conceptual by using referential elements and unusual meduims to infuse layered meanings.
Dana is critical of the world around her and has chosen design as her language for which to share her opinions; she strives to do something creative everyday. She could never choose a favorite typeface, but instead could name a font for her every mood.
